I graduated from Wolverhampton University in 1992 after completing a degree in Quantity Surveying. I never went into that industry however always stayed within the construction sector. I began working as a Stock Condition Surveyor, and enjoyed that role for many years. I joined HWM Surveyors in 2007 and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2008.

I had the opportunity to become a Director in 2010 and have enjoyed this role ever since. I have always loved construction, architecture and the built environment, and feel lucky to able to look at so many beautiful buildings every day.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family.

Will Simpson BSC Hons MRICS RICS

I joined HWM Surveyors in 2015. I qualified with a degree in Building Surveying from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011, and became a Chartered Surveyor in 2016 after training for 5 years. I cover the North West carrying out valuations on Residential and Commercial property.

Alongside valuation work I provide Level 2 Reports and Building Surveys. I proudly became a director of the company in January 2020, and thoroughly enjoy working with the team. I have a young family, and enjoy all sports, keeping fit and travelling.

Anthony R Bryson MRICS

I trained with my father in the family general practice business in Barrow in Furness, qualifying in 1982. The practice was bought out by Prudential Property Services, following which I started with HWM (formerly Harrison, Willis and Moore) in April 1989.

I have practiced in the Furness, South Cumbria and North Lancashire area throughout my career, carrying out inspections and valuations, mostly for residential property.

I am interested in local industrial and architectural history, and a member of Cumbria Amenity Trust Mining History Society (CATMHS), Cumbrian Railways Association, and Furness Railway Trust.

I have been for many years a deputy warden at Ulverston Parish Church, and served on the PCC. I am currently on the Church building Restoration Committee.

I am also a Trustee on Ulverston Town Lands Trust, a small local charity managing various parcels of land in and around Ulverston, which includes Hoad Hill (but not the monument!)

Deborah Ferguson BSC Hons MRICS Chartered Surveyor

I have a keen interest in property and first began working life as an estate agent. Proceeding then to work for a National Firm of Chartered Surveyors undertaking Valuations and Surveys for high Street Lenders improving and developing knowledge to achieve AssocRICS in 2008.

In 2012 I graduated from Salford University with Bsc Hons in Quantity Surveying.

Joining HWM Surveyors Ltd in 2017, I have carried out Valuations, Level 2 Reports and Building Surveys across the North West region achieving MRICS status in May 2019.

Outside of property my other main interest is Latin and Ballroom dancing.

Fraser Mott AssocRics

I joined HWM Surveyors in early 2022 to pursue a strong interest in property.

After completing a Diploma in Residential Surveying & Valuation with Sava, this gave me the knowledge to achieve AssocRICS in 2022. I have undertaken Valuations, Level 2 Reports throughout the North West, and aim to progress deeper into the industry.

Away from my passion for property, I enjoy running, cycling and travelling.

Sophie Ollerton

Graduate Building Surveyor

Hi, I’m Sophie and I started working for HWM Surveyors back in October 2018, where I began my journey as an Office Administrator. I knew straight away I had a passion for construction and surveying, embarking on my university apprenticeship degree in April 2020.

I finished my degree in February this year, and I am due to graduate with a First Class Honours degree in July 2024! I am overwhelmed with the support HWM have given me and I cannot wait to finally qualify later this year and provide a professional and thorough service for our wonderful clients!

Besides my interest and passion for building pathology, I enjoy spending my free time with my family, in the gym or wild camping! I am looking forward to what the future holds and I am loving every minute of my journey at HWM Surveyors.
